ESMA asks for input on assets eligible for UCITS

In May, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published its long-awaited call for evidence on the review of the UCITS Eligible Assets Directive (EAD). The review has two goals, writes LSEG; first, focus on clarity of existing definitions and, second, assess possible risks and benefits of allowing UCITS products direct or indirect exposure to 'non-plain vanilla' asset classes.
