Numbers help figure it out

Unless we understand the effects of climate-related risks on companies’ activities, and how companies are responding to such risks, we won’t be able to reduce global emissions and global warming. We are seeing the physical impacts of climate change in more frequent and intense weather events, such as flooding, forest fires and severe temperature fluctuations. But the more subtle transition risks for the economy are equally extensive and include the effects of disruptive technologies, such as low-cost renewables, changing consumer preferences and the increase in emissions regulations.
