Gender inequality and the climate crisis

It’s estimated that in the poorest communities there are at least 200 million adolescent girls that face heightened risk from the impact of climate change. When crops fail or are destroyed and families lose livelihoods, girls are the first to be pushed out of school. This results in a lost generation of future leaders who do not have the access to information and education to gain the skills and resources to build a future.
