Reducing the risk of greenwashing

Companies and governments are continuing to step up efforts to meet net-zero goals, which has caused growth in the ESG-labelled debt market. While companies and governments are encouraged to accelerate the transition to net-zero, there is a lack of global standards for issuing debt with an ESG-related tag, leaving investors vulnerable to greenwashing.
