Metals market critical to net-zero

The metals market plays an important role in the transition to net-zero because industrial metals are essential for wind turbines, solar panels, and electric vehicles. The acceleration of the transition to net-zero has caused the demand for metals markets to rise. But there’s a caveat. The supply of metals is limited due to years of underinvestment in the sector and, more recently, due to sanctions placed on Russia as a supplier, following the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
